Just to elaborate on this a bit.... According to the ELAND cable datasheet their 1mm² wire has a resistance of around 0.0195ohm/m. Let's say you have 5m cable to the motor so the total length of wire for each winding is 10m 'round trip', that's a total resistance of 0.195ohm.
The motors rated current in parallel is 6A. The voltage drop across the cable will then be ~1.2V, so if you have a 42V powersupply the motor will 'see' 40.8V, a 3% loss.....
The dissipated power will be around 7W. 14W max for the cable carrying current to both windings - that's not a lot.
You'll definitely be fine with 1mm².
