Thanks Hoss , That was just the test one, working on one now to put in a pendant box. Like you are doing , I want to see what you come up with on your pendant with the switches. I will put a PDF for details at my site when done.

Hoss, had to make sure the center distance work good between the eyes and disk. Here's picture of the MPG mounted on the cover of the box. Will start to draw up something now. Going to add some switches too, may need some help on that.

I always thought it would be kind of nice to have both:

Joysticks set for pretty fast jog, and MPG set up for pretty slow (I like 1/2 thous, a trick I learned from you, Hoss).

I'm constantly switching the jog back and forth for that reason. Being able to just grab the right control with no need to switch would be sweet!

    Cheers,

Both would be nice but I'm pressed for space, might have to see how small I could
    make Bobs MPG.

I have a circuit board for sale, the info is in the PDF at :
    http://www.cad2gcode.com/cncprojects/id18.html
The boards you came up with from Radio Shack is the one , I'm going to use for 12 Outputs to Mach3 for the pendant. The 74HC14N has 6 inputs and outputs.

    Hey Bob,
How is Mach going to read the signals from the pendant, do you need 1 or 12 inputs free.

Hoss, use my PCB for the MPG, it has only 2 outputs and the Radio Shack's PCB for how many outputs you need for how many switches. The IC has 6 inputs and 6 outputs. Assign two outputs from my PCB to Mach MPG1 A and B pins. Get the +5 and com from C10. That takes care of the MPG. Now i'm still changing the way i'm thinking on the inputs to Mach hot keys. The pendant needs at least 9 inputs to Mach. I'm going to try to do this without the Rotary switches.
I had this DB25 female from Winford, going to use this with terminal strips for the inputs from all the PCB's, here's some pics of the test for one hot key button for Stop.
    Cheers

    MPG Update

Hey Hoss, Ok this is what I have so far. I didn't have enough tact switches needed 10, 5 on each side of the MPG, got to order some more. The MPG Cover for the box, shows the layout of all the parts that are on the cover. I'm going to use a DB25 I cut the end off and strain relief it in the box, wire it to the 12 positions terminal strip. Then the other end with the DB25 Plug, to the C10 board. The picture of the switch setup was use for the testing of the hot keys. I will only use 10 switches. Select X Y Z A, x1 x.1 x.01, Stop, Cycle Start. and MPG Tab. It going to take 12 inputs to Mach 3.
The +5 and Com from the C10 back to the terminal strip to supply the voltage needed. Its going to take awhile to figure out the DB25 color code.
    Cheers

that address seems suspect. 0x1070? Please take a screen shot of the Resources tab of the Properties page of the second parallel port in the Device Manager like my sample image below.
