Looks awesome Jeff.
What enclosure did you use for your G540?
Jbanks , I milled a cutout for the G540 in the side of my computer case. The Keiling power supply fit just perfect in the bottom of the computer case, I cheated on the mounting for it with some foam double sided sticky tape. So now my controls are in one box, kinda makes it handy.
I still need to get around to making a proper enclosure for my X3. I am still kicking around flood vs fog buster, and full enclosure vs a partial.
A pic of some parts I did on the X3. These are most of the items I need for my X1 belt conversion. If this works out well, I am going to do something similar for my X3.

Hey, that's some very nice work there Jeff!

Help. Someone Clarifiy for me...
----------------------------
Crevice Reamer Said Earlier:
You will need one of THESE 1/4 Watt 3.48K resistors for each 381 or 387:
3.48KXBK-ND
Or one of THESE 1/4 W 2.8K resistors for each 270:
2.80KXBK-ND
---------------------------------
Do I use One 3.48KXBK-ND for Each KL23H2100-35-4B ?
and One 2.80KXBK-ND for the KL34H295-43-8A ?
Thanks
Jason
Jason,
All 3 motors get the same 3.48K resistor place on the G540.
Jeff
Clarified it on the website. Thanks!

Hey Jeff,
Are you running your spindle via. Mach?
ON/OFF?
Speed controll?
If so, are you using a BOB like the C6?
Been busy over the summer and haven't been here in a bit.
I just recently got off my butt and made the connections for spindle speed and off/on. I will be posting the details for this in the next few days. It was a bit of a challenge to get Mach / G540 / X3 electronics all working together. And info for doing all of it is lacking.
The mill has worked flawlessly until last week. I am pretty sure that I need to to use some blue loctite on my couplings and Z axis pulley. I have lost some steps in the Y and Z, but I am pretty sure its the couplings slipping based on the sound I heard a couple times. Doesn't sound like the normal sound when the motors stall when you are trying to push them to fast.
I also spent some time with my Z gib to get rid of some slop I was having when the Z was changing directions.
Jeff
Hi Jeff, did you do a pulley conversion on the X3?
Glad to see you're back on task there Jeff....
I'm one of the many here that would greatly appreciate a detailed write up of your X3-G540-Mach spindle controll.
