The 5 and 8 inch z both of those are 16mm Thomson rails, only have in 8 inch with 20mm round rails

I did see that stuff, i get cable chain from them. on a 24 inch you will lose 1 1/2 inch travel each side with bellows. As long as you never over grease the rails the dust will never do damage. Only the ballnut might become a problem with dust. some have plug up . but you can easily clean the ballnut out. Round rails also never have to worry about dust

The ballnut ,you can take off wiper and soak in WD40 or spray , with ballnut still on ballscrew . the only ballscrew that have had some problems is the Z axis ballscrew. But easy to remove and clean .
