    Great

I should have mentioned that it is critical that the encoders be shielded.
I had a similar problem in the early stages of design.
You can see some of my work here: http://www.cnczone.com/forums/showthread.php?t=40940

    i used capacitor(104) between A+,B+ and I+ & GND .
now when i dont have any pulse ,shaft is motionless.

in addition,i used DC motor(180V) for my spindle.
i have a question, can i use power stage used in YAPSCV1(DC servo controller) ?
i need information for do this job.

    Question

What signals does PIC output? PWM & direction ,PWM UP & PWM DOWN or Antiphase PWM? Could i controll H-bridge ( ir2110 and ir2184 mosfet drivers ) ?

1st, locate the part numbers for the IR’s Power MOSFETs. Go to IR's website and download the spec sheets. This should give you an idea if you can drive the 180v motor.
2nd, you also need to know how much current it will draw at start up and max power.
3rd, the power stage can only handle so many amps because of the trace size of the copper in the power stage. I am not sure if max has any information on this. You may have to measure the average trace width in the power stage with a caliper. The circuit board is probably 1 or 2 oz copper. Try this link: http://circuitcalculator.com/wordpress/?p=25/
I believe that he wrote a manual for the YAPSCV1, check his web site.

    Hope this helps,

i need about 10A peak current. i have IRL640(logic gate) and i want test it.
    VDSS=200V & Id=17A and RDS(on)=0.18ohm

i see YAPSCV1 webpage ,MAX wrote 100A peak but I do not think is achievable

Check updated info on trace calculations.

I believe that it is PWM & direction. Go to MAX's site and start there. I have not looked at the specs of the ir2184 & ir2110. Start by comparing these to YAPSCV1, which uses the irl640 I believe.

    Hope this helps,

    CNC Servo Machine

    :wave:Hello max-mod and all engineers ,
im in a 5Axis CNC Machine Building prossess, i want use Ac or Brushless dc Motors. i find YAPSC:10V , first tell me can this board drive AC servos ?
i saw this picture from the : Your page title goes here

here there are servo motors , servoAmp board , YAPSC:V10 board , Breakout board and at the last , the Computer.

i have YAPCS:V10 Board ,(i will create this from YAPSC:10V)
but i dont know what is the servoAmp Board ! is a open Source of this here ?

im waiting for your companionship in my project.
    thanks

    Hi Everyone

Has anybody successfully built and has a finished working YAPSC:10v board from using the files on Max-Mod’s website.

I have tried to contact Max Mod but to no avail.

    Thanks

I am also interested in acquiring at least 3 of these boards. I understand that complete boards are available from the seller. Can anyone confirm this? If these are not available, are there any other options?

    Thanks.

    Hi John

I have had contact with Max, he no longer has the time to continue with this project, however he has told me that all the info needed to make the boards yourself are on the website.

If I make any headway with this project I will post my progress here.

    Regards

    Andy

I have 2 of these that I will probably sell.
They are made by Max and I have the usb programer too.
If you have any interest PM me.

Here I am answering my own queries. After MUCH searching, I have found a card that will take a step/dir signal and output +/- 10v analog. It is the R2040 card from Rutex. Here is a link to the board in question: R2040 - Rutex, USA. I will investigate this option further and report any unusual findings here.

    Regards,
    John

    Hi Mike

Are you have: YAPSC.10V and: USB ProgKey (what kind - send picture what you selling)?
If you sell these mail me:

    Hi Aleksasek,
They are already spoken for. If the deal falls thru I will repost.

    Hi All

I have had contact with Max and I might beable to get hold of some of the PCB's but these will just be the bare PCB's.

If anyone is interested can you please let me know, if we can get an order for 20 they could be as low as 2.48 euro $3.40 plus shipping which would make them around $7.50 each.

    Regards

    Andy

where can the yapsc be bought?.......

  19. #119
    Hi DssTvDummy

I have some bare PCB's on the way,I am going to see how it goes and may offer built and tested boards if Max is ok with it but if you want to roll your own I have some spare boards when they arrive (shipping on the 21st Dec).

Max no longer has the time to continue with this project but has very kindly let me re order the boards from the same PCB manufacturer.

built or roll my own ....either way is fine I just need to get it going.....I have mach3 and a breakout board and analog drives.......Its not making any money sitting there so if you are selling built boards or the PCB I am interested.....just let me know when you get them in.........
