I am looking into drip feeding for a makino A55. Has anyone had any problems with dripfeeding? Also what software are you using. Thanks for the help.

I had problems a few years back and spent a while getting everything dialed in. I had a Fanuc -OM control. I use "DNC Server" for my drip feed. I Use a 9-PIN to 25-PIN cable and a USB adaptor for the Laptop. Works good but I did have a few headaches getting it to run smooth. There are many DNC software programs out there...pick one that is tried and tested for your control so you'll know it works. Make sure your settings and parameters match up between your PC and control and that will be a good start. Thankfully you'll get alarms for having the wrong settings and that will help you troubleshoot any problems.
