automation tech c10 breakout board, npn sensors

Why do you need resistors on the NPN proximity sensors? I cannot get my sensors to work with the resistors in place!

Something else I noticed is the direction seem wrong with regards to the 10-15 inputs. the only way I can get the board to work on a 'ground' trigger signal is to switch the value to 'pull-down' when it clearly shows 'pull-up' when doing touch off sensing.

Did you set for pull up on inputs rather than pull down?
If they are NPN then they are sink devices and the resistor is already in the BOB?

Set to pull down. And yes there is a resistor built in, BUT the c10 bob manual says to add another resistor based off of the voltage driven to the sensor, which makes no sense to me since the npn sensors go to ground!
