chnc wont go into jog or mdi mode and no zero return

I have a chnc when I fire the machine up it wont let me home machine or get into mdi, jog. I think it may have something to do with the collet closure as when i open and close, the open button light up right away but when I hot close takes about 6-7 seconds before lights up. I can move x and z with handle mode but thats it. please help with any suggestions.

The collet close delay is normal, it's called the collet closure delay and can even be changed or set in a program.

What control do you have on your machine? Otherwise we can't help you.

Sorry, I have a Siemens 810T so not the same. For those following this you need to give more details if you want help. Did you just get this machine, did it ever home, etc.

When I got my machine it had a bad emergency stop switch that gave me fits and sightly corrupt software. The bad E-Stop switch was probably the reason the machine was put up for sale, as it would just go on and off on its own, causing all kinds of issues. After fixing this minor issues, I have a really sweet machine.

The E-Stop switch that was bad, (dirty), was the lower left side one, it is always getting wet and such, that's the one to check and keep that area clean.
