I have about 7 Bridgeport VMC machines from Torqcut 22 to VMC800s with PC based controls. A few years back I was able to get the DX/32 control software to work on a pentium board with Windows 98. This made things a lot easier with my network infrastructure. Tool Makes could now put there programs on the file server and have access on the Bridgeport control.
Well lately I've been having issues with the 10 year old hardware that's driving these controls. I'm sick of getting 10 year old used hardware to bandaid the machine just to have it fail in 2 weeks because of age. I've found some more recent core2 motherboards with an ISA slot but I'm still having issues with the software. Has anyone had any success getting the DX/32 software running in XP? Maybe in a virtual machine running DOS 6.22 inside of XP?
Thanks
