Frndz,
I have a turning machine with FANUC 21i with serial spindle A06B-6112-H006.
Its commanded speed and actual displayed speed always differ by 20%.
measured speed is greater.
Is there any way to calibrate it by using spindle parameters.

Are you even supposed to have A 21i control over there? Just askin...
Just supposed it may be 18iT. If u have any idea then write it
Is the speed off by the same amount in reverse rotation?
Yes Dear,
With same results.
By the way what would you suggest if it is different on reverse
I do not recall exactly which parameter, but it is related to either the maximum spindle speed ,(3741 or 3772) or maximum motor speed(4020) (I would try 4020 first), if I recall correctly. Record the original values before changing anything! You should be able to get it set within a few RPM of the programmed speed by trial and error.
Hope this helps a few people out there.
