    How to save file

I need help on saving files that are in memory on a fanuc 180i-m. A lot of changes have been made after loading a program into memory. Is there a way to save the program after the changes have been made?

You could punch the programs out via the RS-232 port, or to an M-CARD.

Assuming you have a PCMCIA card slot on the front panel of your Fanuc:

Get a PCMCIA Compact Flash Adapter with a Compact Flash card (Staples, Office Max, etc.).

Go to Settings. Set your I/O device to 4. Insert the card GENTLY into the slot.

In EDIT mode PROG function push the > soft key to see CARD. Then press OPRT soft key. PUNCH, EXEC will punch the current program to the card.
