    Hypertherm thc

    Hi,

I was just browsing ebay yesterday and saw some interesting stuff, there is a guy selling a hypertherm thc 1, im not totally sure what im looking at, if it needs a voltage divider card etc etc so here is the link

    HYPERTHERM TORCH HEIGHT CONTROL-1 041-1-003 041005 - eBay (item 290452484036 end time Dec-05-10 10:43:33 PST)

Is it any good to me? I often think on jim saying that the controlling factor in cut quality is the thc basically, so i wondered if this was any good for my max 100??

I also found some other interesting stuff as ive been working on my own thc for a while now, he hardest part is to divide the voltage and get a decent sample so i was looking at some hypertherm sensor cards, are they what i think they are?? I was hoping i could cnnect it to my max 100 and have a nice 0-24 v output or something like that?? Here are some links

HYPERTHERM AUTOMATION VOLTAGE DIVIDER CARD 3 W/24V PS - eBay (item 280507845427 end time Dec-12-10 06:34:16 PST)

Hypertherm Inc. THC Motherboard PCB 041150 REV D - eBay (item 250561927215 end time Dec-07-10 09:20:45 PST)

    Any thoughts gents??

The THC-1 torch height control was first introduced in 1977....it uses old cmos circuitry....that is likely no longer serviceable, and its production ceased approximately 20 years ago. I would only recommend this THC system if you already had an identical unit and wanted spare parts.

The Voltage divider board is an isolator/divider for use with Hypertherm's Sensor integrated THC system. I divides and isolates arc voltage, but has no torch height control functionality. It would be a good spare for someone with a Sensor THC, which is integrated into a Hypertherm Automation cnc control system.

The Mother board is a control board from either an HT2000 or a Max200. This also will not serve as a good base for torch height control.
