    Joining Profile - Help needed

    Hope someone can help.

I am using a finger joining profile to join plywood, see attached DXF. I am cutting the profile with a 10mm bit which cuts fine but I am finding the joint tolerances to be too tight. Can anyone offer suggestions on setting up the cutting file to ensure a nice neat fitting of the parts.

    Your help appreciated.

    cheers

Try offsetting 1 side about .07mm, making it smaller. It's probably going to take some trial and error, and if your machine has any backlash, it might be tough to get a really tight fit everywhere. If it still doesnt fit, keep making it smaller, but use ~.03 increments after the first offset.

I'll try both your suggestions, much appreciated....

SignIt, I'll look for the English version of the software. Couldn't download... seems like a deadlink...

    cheers
