    Microstructure after Case hardening

Hi friends, one of my customer required the microstructure of the case hardened part like" Fine needle like martensite state". Is there any measurables for this microstructure. Thanks. VTK

I think that implies doing some metallography under the microscope. Can't help you with the polishing etc. involved as I haven't done it.

i have seen it done, the way i saw they made a test part, sectioned it, then put it under a big azz microscope. you can see the grains of the metal..its pretty cool
