    Multicamm 3000, MODBUS Slave Timeout

I have a Multicam 3000, It stopped cutting in the middle of the sheet with keypad showing
    Paused... ?=Why
    MODBUS Slave Timeout
    Cancel

We ended up shutting the machine off and trying to restart, Same as above showed up. I canceled the machine and tryed to have the machine find home.
    This showed up
    Paused... ?=Why
    MODBUS Slave Timeout
    Continue JOG
    Cancel Params_2D

If I hit Continue the machine states it is not Homed
If I hit Jog I can move the machine about 10" in the x axia before it acts as if it has hit something
In the Y-azis I can move the machine from -10 to 44 and 0 is about 15" from where it should be, and thats as far toward home the machine will move before it again acts as if it has hit something
The z Axis can be moved the full distance

Can anybody help me??? Thanks, Speedcab

    Multicam 3000,Modbus Slave Timeout

At the top of your carriage, where the Z-axis belt is located...there is a small circuit board (Rio Board). MAKE SURE YOU POWER DOWN FOR THIS PROCURED, IF YOU DO THIS UNDER POWER YOU WILL FRY YOUR RIO BOARD!

Just simply unplug and plug all plug connectors, not the ribbon, with heat and vibration these plugs work loose and cause modbus error about 75% of the time. If this doesn't work you will have to get the Rio Board repaired or replaced.

I found a second Rio Bd for the 4 unit gang drill with a light on that bd when I start the machine up. DNC # 183 Refers to the Gang drill and I turned that off for now and the machine runs without a gang Drill. Need to start replacing connector plugs and then to Rio Bd if that don't work. Thanks for your help. Speedcab
