    Need help getting started

    Hey all,

    This is my first post here.
    I am going to try and build a 5-axis router. I'm fairly competent in machine design and machining complex parts. I have access to nice 3 axis CNC mills and lathes for the build. The part that I am not sure about are the electronics.
    I was wondering if any of you could point me to some kind of wiki/FAQ that gives a good run down on how to decide on the electronics. Motor types, software, etc. Or do any of you know of plans for a good 5-axis router?
    I'm not looking for you guys to do the work- just looking to get pointed to good information.

    Welcome! There are a couple 5-axis builds on the forum if you search. Not very many due to the complexity. Good luck!
