New 18" x 20" Lathe build with Industry Controls (Mach Industrial)

    Hi,

I am a machine tool builder of new machines. We install Fanuc, Mitsubishi and numerous other controllers. We have started assembly on an 18" swing x 20" turning length. This is a frame that we typically use a Fanuc control on but chose to use the Industry Controls CNC controller after having great success with it on our mill's, Routers and Plasma's. So, why not try it on one of our lathes. Here are a few pics and the operation panel that is currently used. We need to make a new I/O board to handle all of the inputs but that is just a small matter of time.

I will keep you posted !

I can not put a price on it until it is done but I have ordered the parts. 15kw (20HP) spindle motor, X and Z will use 3kw (4HP) AC servos.

    Thanks,
    Kirk
