    ramp in angles

I'm still pretty new to all this CNC stuff, but was wondering if there is any general rules to ramp in angles for tools. I've been trying a few from 3-5 degrees with sucess but admit I really don;t know what I'm looking for. Do you go smaller for harder metals? what about indexable tools vs solid carbide. or small dia. vs large dia. tools?

center cutting tools need less of an angle tha non center cutting tools(indexables)
harder material needs more of an angle also.
I generally do 10º howeve thats if I have room, if I dont have room I run helicals , youll figure it out as you run the machine more.
