    Saving settings

I run MCX2 and need to reload it after replacing a hard drive that is failing. I have all the disks and what not but I have MC set up the way I like it and have been using it for 2.5 years. Is there a way to save off my settings so when I reload MC I can have everything the way it is now or do I have to go back and change it all manually again.

Thanks for the help guys and gals, any words of wisdom will be greatly appreciated

It seems to me if you open your MCX2 folder and then open your config folder you should be able to copy your config file and when you reinstall MC just replace the new config file with the one you copied. I have never tried this, but it should work...The path on our computer is C:\mcamx\config\mcamx.config

    As Crashmaster says, PLUS your
    - \\cnc_machines directory
    - \\mill\ directory ie ops, posts, tools ( custom tools, tool libraries )
    - \\lathe\ directory
    - \\router\ directory
    - \\wire\ directory
    - \\data\ directory (where you place supporting files for remachining etc )
    - plus all your MCX files
    - plus any downloaded updates, service packs, or add-ons that you have aquired
    - plus any convertor activation codes, etc

It would be a good idea to copy/backup the entire hard drive, or as much as possible onto an external HD. So you can retrieve items that may have been overlooked.
