I used to use SmartCAM when I worked at a family owned tool and die shop.
I now use Infinum (GREAT nesting function) and Autocad. I currently work for a cutting tool manufacturer managing the PCD tooling department.

Owned by POSH. I seem to recall hearing that the're a sister of Siemens. But I that may not be correct.

    Check Here
    http://www.draftboard.de/index.htm?./infinum/index.htm

It also import/export .bmp files. VERY useful.
The nesting software is very easy to use. I plan on using it to nest files to reduce my waste material. Of course, I'll have to do it during by break times

They have an english PDF file on their site that descibes the software.

Toby, Mike and others check out the link to a Stippling program I started in another thread: http://www.cnczone.com/forums/showthread.php?p=193288.

NOTE ENTHUSIASM, Mike. This is another one of those way cool programs like Spalm's SPIROCNC program. Okay maybe not quite as cool as that as it has some issues, but it is WAY FUN to fiddle around with.

    Enjoy.

Shhh, you'll wake the baby. I hear your mother yelling from the other room to keep it down in here. She says that if we're not quiet I'll have to take my Open Clip Art Library link and go home. C'mon you guys. Sheesh.

Who needs a Cut Shark when there is Cutty Sark!

I married a Boolegger's daughter. Now all she wants to do is make me liquor!!!

Just so this thread stays slightly on topic here are the 5 DXF samples provided by BobCAD-CAM Australia to promote their DXF Art to Part CD Library (Retail Price AUD$295.00 + GST). Actually I only posted these so Lakeside will blame Toby for taking the thread off-topic instead of me! Heh-heh-heh!!!

I'm one of the ones that helps keep the FUN in DYSFUNCTIONAL!

And they're in vector format so they can be scaled up or down for different CUP SIZES.
