    Aluminum parts

The parts will be made out of 3/4" 6061-T6 I can supply if needed.
The two threaded holes need to be drilled with a "G" bit and tapped with 1/4"-28 STI tap for helical inserts.

25 of each. In two weeks. Whoever gets the job there will be a need for more in the future. I just put 25 down to get me a ballpark figure.

I am assuming your 2 threaded holes are on the same part, which looks like one hole completely through
the side of the 4" long part. Also how about tolerances?, it
amazes me how many people give out quotes without knowing tolerances.
I could not imagine somebody charging the same to hold .0001s instead of +/- .005, or is that the norm these days?,........Bob

on these type of quotes with no formal drawings we assume +/-.005 to quote and try and work with the customer.

    Tolerances

    Bob,

    The typical tolerance would be .0 +/-.015" .00 +/-.010" .000 +/-.005"

Looking at the picture of the part I think it's safe for one to assume tolerances are not that tight. I may be proven wrong shortly, but that's how I quoted.

In my haste in trying to get the drawing out I forgot two critical points; tolerances and the 5/16" hole depth.
The 5/16" hole depth is 1.75".
Most people that have quoted me have given tolerances of +0.005/-0.005 this will be fine for all the specs but the .3125 hole. This need to be +0.005/-0.000.
Your right on the rough part in the pic's. I made 150 of these on my '39 Sheldon lathe.
I'm jobbing this part out to tighten up the tol's and to free up my time.
Thanks to all those that have quoted the part and will be giving the job tomorrow afternoon.
