Delta NC300 contoller setup master slave

    Hello

tried to search for some threads on Delta CNC solutions: Delta NC300 controller with ASD-A2 drives and motors (750W) but in vain.
We tried to setup the 4 axis, drives and motor work, but as the Delta manuals (for controller and drives) are so thin, could not find a way to set the master/slave parameters and make it work.
Not sure if anyone familiar with the controller, but worth trying to see if anyone has an idea on how it works.
So in the NC the axes are defined, and parameters for the A axis slave to Y axis is set. Still, the when moving Y, A motor does not move. When tryi ng to move A, it works.
    No error is popping up.

I tried to contact Delta customer service but in vain.

I assume the controller adopts standard setup. So suggestions on how other c0ntrollers are set might work.

here the link to NC300 controller manual.

    Any input appreciated.

    Hi,

only now I managed to get the file, hope this is the one.I cannot upload it as original *.pkf, so you have to change the extension.

this is the instructions i received. But because it is 2 years ago when it was installed by someone else on my nc300, i cannot say if this is really how it works.

ps: I managed to make work the homing for absolute encoders in case you need it. it is a simple file, few lines

Re: Delta NC300 contoller setup master slave

I have now the problem of uneven surface of the table. I have an mdf board propels bolted to the table, very solid. But when applying vacuum (about 300mBar), the mdf board still compresses a bit, about 0.1mm in different places. As I machine 1.2mm thick board, the 0.1 is too much, so I cannot use it this way.
I made several surfaces of the table (with vacuum on, and holds about 200mBar), but ironically the board remains uneven. That is strange, but this is what I have. So I was looking into a solution to map the table in several points (100mm incremental on X and Y axis), but delta nc300 does not allow for such compensation of uneven surface.

Any idea of how to approach this?
I am considering the following options:
    1. mapping of the surface, then use a software solution (I don't know yet which one) in which i input both the reading of the actual table surface, and also every G code. i expect that the new output gcode to have the z axis compensated according to the map"
    2. real time mapping, and adjust the Z height based on the reading. The laser displacement sensor will be attached to the CN5 at Z axis, just like any linear scale encoder. My concern here is adjusting for the noise and I foresee here a lot of problems

Of course the best would be to have a proper table, but I don't know how much more I can mechanically fasten the MDF board (18mm thickness) to the solid grid table below (40mm).
