How to figure pitch tolerances for large threads?

I have a job coming up with a 14.750-32 thread and I need pitch tolerances for this, or even better, a formula to figure this for other jobs. Also, any smart suggestions on how to measure pitch. I know I can measure over wires(what size?). There is a 13.6885 dia counterbore also, what about using a pin mic over the wire? Any help is appreciated.

    pitch tolerance

Sometimes the customer will give you the high and low on the print. A call generally will resolve the mystery. My old stand by is the machinist hand book.
It gives you the high and lows for max and min sizes for all threads.

Here are a couple of charts from Machinery's Handbook to get you started.

    THREADING

If I remember correctly a rule of thumb for a 75% thread is

1 inch devided by # of threads = Double depth of thread
