    Does everyone know how to creat 45 DEG Groove tool for lathe???

    I'm not positively sure but I would go to your Tool list, Create a New tool, and from the list click Form Tool. Draw the insert on you XY plane and define it. Not sure if it will work but from what I've read it should. Good luck.
