    Great, thanks for the update.
Are you still extending the testing period or will this new batch be shipping out?

So now that's done, is a ETS next? 😁

Yes ETS and digitizing...no end of challenges ahead! Thanks for posting. Keen

Just received my probe and it looks great. Haven't had time to try it out yet but I 3D printed a nice holder for it so it's ready to go.

Got mine in over a week ago. Man, this thing is one super slick puppy! I can tell now that there will never be any going back for me. Love the confidence to not have to worry about the stinking breakable tips.

I have a holder I designed as well. Waiting on the clear plastic tube to cover the top. Once you slide it into the "socket" all the internals are protected.

I took video of my set up on the probe but have not put it together yet. Will post a review soon. But for now, all I have to say it that it was worth the wait. Cliff, you are the MAN!!!!

Nice, when I hung mine I thought i should change the design to cover the top as well.

So are these the first batch of "production" customer units?

Yep. Or at least those of us who had expressed an interest after it was out of beta testing.

Ray, for now, Cliff is only selling his probe to Tormach owners. At least that is what he said in an email to me a while back. I was really looking forward to the Hallmark.

It's a darned nice tool that works great and is well worth the price he charges.

Hopefully, Cliff will change his mind and sell to us Novakon owners. The probe should work no differently on the Pulsar than Tormach mills, especially for those of us using Pathpilot.

Do the Novakon mills have a pre-installed auxiliary port to accept the HTTP connector? If not, perhaps Cliff doesn't want to deal with walking Novakon owners through the electrical connection to the controller.

It is a simply a matter of running two wires to the BOB. I'am using a probe now, unfortunately, it is not very accurate plus the manufacture closed shop last year so purchasing replacement tips is no longer possible.

Simple is sometimes in the eye of the beholder. Stuff that is trivial to my EE friend is downright baffling to me, much to his amusement.

Re: NEW DESIGN CRASH RESISTANT LOW COST TOUCH PROBE

I was interested in getting one for the Pulsar with Path Pilot.
That has changed though. I will be using a Haimer on the Haas.
I have been using a beeper on the pulsar and it is fairly close, depending on the accuracy of the operator. It is at least as good as the paper method. Sometimes.

I find my wiggler is more accurate than my probe. I use the paper method for the Z. When are you expecting delivery of your Haas?

Re: NEW DESIGN CRASH RESISTANT LOW COST TOUCH PROBE

The invoice said 4 to 5 weeks. Yesterday was 4 weeks. I also read that Haas is experiencing record volume sales this year, so not really sure how close they are keeping to lead time estimate.
I actually needed this much time to get the shop ready and get some nice tooling figured out and lined up. Most will be Glacern stuff.
Tired of black oxide tool holders and Shars vises.

I may still get one of these probes though. I think it can still be useful on the Slant Pro.

Haas just emailed that it is ready to ship. 5 to 10 days from Oxnard to LA. Lower Alabama.

keen, have you made the MSDS available for the fluid you are using?

You also mentioned patent pending, any news on the patent, like the number?

I don't think that is his requirement.
I thought he was buying it ready made in bulk and just packaging it in small packages.
If that is the case, then the MSDS should already exist.
Been about a year since I read anything about that.
