look i have been with bobcad for almost 4 years. i have been reading this forum from the begining.

1st let me say this: the reason we do not allow you to generate real g-code in the demo is this:

A). occasionally you will get the shop that gets one part a year they need to program, use our software to make their part, make their money off their part, and never actually buy our software.

B) lets say we gave you real code, and you break your machine, or a tool and lets all hope it's not an expensive break because who do you think the customer is going to blame and hold liable. "Bobcad"

C) when you download the software it's already a big file to download, adding accurate g-code with the size of some of the g-code programs out their, the file size would be huge.

D) we show you how the software works and how it produces code, the right code has to do with your post processors, and your machine. this is why we do not charge for this and our refund is exact in saying if we cannot post to your machine we will refund you.

i also heard in this thread for us to stop hard selling, in 22 years we have offered the most functionality for the price and have been very successful in doing this. what i have found is usually the guy that cannot learn the software tends to blame bobcad, because the guys that uses it daily are for the most part very happy. one little thing they can't figure out a they need a refund. i'm not saying that is the case with this paticular customer, but if you read the e-mail he sent in the very begining his problems seem to be more exagerated and he is able to do some things with his software in his vista. so if he can't use it with vista, maybe his computer needs to be updated. are their problems sure, and alot of it is vista more than bobcad.

i was at the "pri trade show" in orlando this past weekend and believe me, alot of cad cam companies are having issues with vista.
