    converting files to stl

    Hi
I've recently downloaded some free artcam files from,

    FREE 3D SAMPLES | 3D MODEL.

The artwork looks quite good do I want to cut a few pieces. Problem!
Sample FS01 and FS02 open as STL file, that's fine, the rest open as RLF file witch I cannot open. Is there a way to translate them to STL? I'm making
    tool path with cut3d.

    Any help welcome, Gary.

    Hi Gary

As far as I know .rlf files can only be opened with ArtCam. Did a search and found this "You can convert RLF file to STL in ArtCam. Go to relief menu->create triangle mesh, create triangles->save triangles in STL."

Gave it a go with ArtCam2008 and one of the free models from the link you provided and was able to open the resulting .stl in mastercamx3 no prob. So you will need ArtCam if you want to use the files, not sure what the Demo can do for you.

    Hope this helps

    Hi Verm
Yes, found this solution as well, however I'm not buying for just a few files so I'm looking for a different solution.
    Gary.
