Help with motor tuning steps per in mach3

hi guys do any of you know how to tune a motor in mach 3 the motor is a 7.5 degree stepper motor with 8mm 1.25pitch threaded rod.

i am thinking steps per motor rev times how many micro steps divided by the pitch so is it 48 x 1 / 1.25 = 38.4
This seems low any help would be appreciated
    Thanks Darren.
