    Post I need help with CYCLE70 (Thread Milling Cycle)

    Hello. I have a CNC vertical machining center with Siemens 840D-SL. I'm trying to milling a thread with cycle70. Every thing is just fine except feed rate. I uploaded photo about the parameters.
    I'm machining the thread with 4 passes. I set the feed rate as 1000mm/min but it changes every lateral stepover.

    For 1000mm/min feed;
    1st feed: 136
    2nd feed: 173
    3rd feed: 208
    4th feed: 240

    Is there anyway to fix feed rate?

    This is my cycle command: MCALL CYCLE70(15,0,3,20,5,0.4,0,0.8,1,0.1,1000,0,0,0,0,1 1,1,,,,,0,1)

    Re: I need help with CYCLE70 (Thread Milling Cycle)

    feed is calculated to the Centre point of the tool..feed is right

    centre point feed= 1000x(nominal dia-cutter dia)/nominal dia.
