    Haas TM-1 Ethernet

I am having trouble sending programs to my machine from the computer. I can send them to the computer from the machine but not the other way around. I have 2- 25pin ports on my machine. There is a spot for an ethernet connection, but it is blocked off. Can I add an ethernet outlet to this machine or is this another "Haas has to do it" things?
    Thanks for any help.

    Hi speed rider

The ethernet comes with the hard drive package $2700-00 thats the only way to get it
it is another board that gets put on the back of the CPU & Mocon Boards do you have the USB as you can load from there.

It is a 2004 model. It does not have a usb port either.
I am thinking my pinout is wrong. Does anyone know the pinout setup?
I have the 25 pin on the Haas and a 9 pin serial on the computer.
    Thanks

This is a little confusing to me, what is the diffrence between the USB and Ethernet?

Don't all new HASS machines come with the USB as of the beginning of this year?

The ethernet is an RJ45 plug. It looks like a phone plug, just a little wider.

That is the diffrence between the cables, what is the diffrence between the data transfer style? (Style is probably the wrong word, but you get the idea)

RS232 is a voltage transmission -18V <-> +18V, without any complex protocol, just dummy sending ASCII characters
Ethernet is a current transmission , with a TCP protocol , very interference resistance.

    speedrider:

Our I232 Isolator should allow you to run at 115.2 kbaud, over a long distance, and provide electrical isolation at both ends.
