HI,

during corona time I constructed my CNC machine form standards aluminium T-slot profiles.
I want to do some upgrades, one of them is add panneling.
keeping the current pricing in mind, is was thinking of using steel plate in stead of aluminium.
where i live ( and probably everyware ), steel is way cheaper and easily available than aluminium.
but i read that steel on aluminium causes galvanic corrosion.
does anyone here have experience with steel panels on alu T-slot ?
my idea was to screw the steel plates to the side of the profile using the t-track for the screws.
would it be better to insert the plates in the T-slot with some kind of rubber insulator in between?
