    Step and direction software

    Hi Group

I`m not clear on a few points when integrating the hardware and
software. I will be using Gecko drives for steppers. Does the
gecko drive come with configuration software to set the step and
direction. Or do I need some third party software to setup the
    machine.

    need Mach1 or Mach2
    OR
    TurboCNC
    Or
some other software like KCam etc.

This will send step/dir signals to the Geckos via parallel port.
Think of your drives (Geckos) as amplifiers. They see small voltage signals from Computer and send high voltage signals to motors.
