    TL1 Will not boot.

    Dear All,

I have a 2007 TL-1, The machine will not start or boot.
When turning on, get no audible noises, and a multicoloured mess on the screen, see picture.

The machine is the last of the Serials, with the 14 inch screen so no USB.

Am I missing something? Any Ideas?

I think the machine has lost its boot device, or operating system.
Can I reinstall this? Is this a Hass Tech Job?
NB the Machine now out of warranty (only one year).

Picture of the start splash screen below,

Thanks for your help in advance,

    Dan

You can always try my ham-fisted fix; some hard hits on the side of the controller with your fist.

It works sometimes when the problem is a loose connector, but, more seriously, I think you have a Haas tech job there. I had a VF2 about the same age that did the same thing and it needed a software reload. I think it must have been a glitch because a local guy I know had the same thing.
An open mind is a virtue...so long as all the common sense has not leaked out.

I think Geof is right. My TM-1P did this regularly until the software was updated. It took a couple of updates to get it right. It still does it once in a blue moon.
