I'm just getting over that big hump of a learning curve in which I am getting reasonably fast at Mastercam and can accomplish what I want. I'm not great by a long shot, but things are going nicely at least. Now I'm working on optimizing my tool libraries to make my programming process faster.

I prefer to use "From Tool" for calculating feeds and speeds, and typically work in only two workpiece materials, so I have set up material-specific tool libraries. Actually I keep a master tool library, and any time I need to use a tool on a specific material, I pull the tool from the master library, input the material-appropriate feeds and speeds, and save the tool to the material-specific library. I guess this system is working out fairly well for me so far.

I was wondering what other organizational techniques other people use to manage their tool libraries?

Thanks!
