What make is your controller? How many wires to the motor? (not counting encoder wires) Do you intend to use the encoder?

    My stepper Motor

Motor has 8 wires, and I have the Xylotex 4 axis controller, and I would like to use the encoder but I don't know how to hook it up.

You can't use the encoder with a Zylotex board. An eight wire stepper can be wired unipolar, Bipolar series or Bipolar parallel.

Parallel is best. There are 4 coils in this motor. (2 wires per coil.) Use an ohmeter to find and mark the wire pairs that connect to a coil. Wires to a coil may be color coded:

    EG: red/red white stripe.

Once you have the coils identified, wire them Bipolar Parallel as here:

    Thank you for the help

What about using the encoders, what controller would I get to be able to make a closed lupe system? Thank you again, do you know what torque these are.
