EMO World Tour in Denmark: Small country, great interest
About eight kilometers from the South-Swedish coast, on the Öresund, where the North Sea and the Baltic Sea get together, the next stop of the EMO World Tour is waiting: Copenhagen. The small country at the northern border of Germany imports almost its entire consumption of machine tools. The most important supplier nation, with a share of 23 percent, is Germany, way in front of Belgium, Sweden, Italy and Taiwan. Orders from Denmark rose by ten per cent in 2016. Laser machines and machining centers were particularly high in demand.
Visitors and journalists showed great interest at the press conference of the EMO World Tour in Copenhagen. Christoph Miller from VDW and Steffi Maeckler from Deutsche Messe AG presented the EMO Hannover 2017 and answered all questions raised by the audience and journalists. They were supported by Rune Jacobsen, representative of the Danish machinery association (The manufacturing industry - a part of the Danish industry). Jacobsen reported on European initiatives within the machine tool industry and emphasized the special importance of EMO Hannover for the Danish industry.
