Emo World Tour: Onwards to the Artic Circle
After a short break, the team of our EMO World Tour moves to the north, more specifically to Swedish Stockholm. The country imported machine tools worth 216 million euros in 2016, by far the most important supplier is Germany. Last year, machining centers, parts and accessories, lathes and laser machines were particularly in demand.
Christoph Miller from VDW and Steffi Maeckler from Deutsche Messe AG met Johnny Prydz, Sales Director for Abene Machine AB. The company with 220 employees has been an exhibitor since 1981. Prydz especially appreciates the press service of the EMO Hannover which lets him gain more attention even in his home country, as he says.
Heikki Takanen, CEO of Uppakara Mekaniska AB, visits the EMO Hannover 2017 with 16 of his 340 employees. The supplier business for truck manufacturers not only expects maintaining their business relations, but also stimuli for innovations. And those they can always use in the field of machinery: his company processes 45,000 kilograms of material every day.
