Shooting a video story at Datron AG
Yesterday, we visited DATRON AG and Karlsruher Institut für Technologie (KIT) to shoot a video story with the working title "Smart technologies driving tomorrow's production!"
In Mühltal, Dr. Robert Rost (Head of Development Datron AG) gave us some insight in how smart technologies are changing the future of production. CNC application engineer Marc Reis showed us the latest developments, including the Datron MX Cube and Datron Neo. Sure thing, EMO Hannover will be one of the highlights for the company scaling up its exhibition area once again!
Later on, we entered the venerable halls of KIT, one of the finest research institutions for production technology in Germany. Prof. Dr. Jürgen Fleischer and researcher Tobias Schlagenhauf explained their #EMO2019 exhibition pieces and told us about their expectations regarding machine learning and the industry of tomorrow. Affordable predictive maintenance systems will be just one of their key topics at the world's premier metalworking trade fair in September...
As soon as the final clip is released, you'll be the first to know.
