31Jul. 2013
Corresponding to the EMO motto “Intelligence in production” the VDMA congress “Producing more intelligently” will take place from 16 to 17 September 2013 during the world's premier trade fair for the metalworking sector. The focus of the event is on the challenges which the future poses for humanity, technology and society. In the following weeks we will introduce to you the speakers at the IP congress and their lectures. Today we continue with Prof. Siegfried Russwurm , Member of the Management Board and CEO Industry Sector, Siemens AG, Munich.
Prof. Dr. Siegfried Russwurm will lecture on 17 September at 09:45 h. Theme:
Industry 4.0 – More efficiency in production due to more intelligence
How product development and production planning are increasingly running parallel and the virtual and real production worlds are merging.
„Producing more intelligently“…
… means the integration of product development and production processes – essentially enabled by one common, consistent data base. Consequently, the virtual and the real production worlds will increasingly merge, because product development and product planning will increasingly be running parallel.
