We operate a small factory with CNC plasma and press brakes. Office is in a separate building around 120m from the factory. There is wireless network in the office but not in the factory. Currently we provide CNC data to the operators by pen drive. Can someone advise the easiest method to provide CNC data remotely to our machines.

I run my hobby CNC machines using WiFi and Bluetooth to avoid ground loops and electrical interference. The CNC machines have a dedicated PC that sends CNC programs to the CNC controller. I drop a new CNC program in a folder on the CNC PC using a network share. The CNC PC can than run the new CNC program from that shared folder.

Extending the current network by 120 m would require an extra Ethernet cable (STP CAT5/6) and is probably the most reliable connection. All depends on how the CNC program has to be delivered to the CNC controller. If the CNC controller only supports a pen drive, you still have to transfer the CNC program from the network share to the pen drive.
