    chaining solid pockets with burnouts

    I have a subplate with burnouts within the pockets using x3 software. When chaining soilds to do 2d pockets how do I eliminate the bunout from the middle of the pocket so that it is just the outer profile?

    Hopefully I explained this well enough.

    Burnouts I assume flame-cut, not the car (hoon) type

    I don't have X3,

    If a 2D contour, use multi-pass and ramp, all depths ( very quick )
    But, if you are doing a surface pocket operation and there is an area in the middle you dont need a toolpath, I suggest putting a small surface patch above the start depth, and select it as a check surface, another option is to "Trim Toolpath"
