I am trying to get an old software package to run for transferring programs from a Mazak HTC 40 with M-Plus control.

We are transferring via RS 232 port on the machine to a stand alone computer

Does anyone have a recommendation for a easy to use, inexpensive software

Check out Mazacam software by Solutionware. It not only lets you transfer Mazatrol programs but allows you to create and edit Mazatrol programs off line as well as convert Mazatrol programs to G Code to run on a non Mazak control.

Not sure about inexpensive, That is a relative term, but CAMLINK by Griffo Bros. in Corvallis Oregon is the software I use. It has built in converters for all the Mazak controls.
