How do you evaluate the expansion of the umati initiative to the entire mechanical engineering industry?
“We welcome the expansion to include the various machine manufacturer segments. The more participants the easier it should be to establish umati as a worldwide standard. It is important to strongly coordinate the further development of upcoming companion specifications to avoid to many overlapping coverages of common uses cases.”
