Founded in September 2018, SYNAOS GmbH from Hanover, Germany, with more than 60 employees develops software solutions for orchestrating the factory and logistics center of the future based on Artificial Intelligence and the latest cloud technology. The starting point is the optimization of intralogistic processes. There, the SYNAOS software solutions control autonomous industrial trucks and forklifts, which are responsible for the distribution of goods in factories. The SYNAOS software ecosystem is complemented by solutions for the optimization of production processes. Here, production orders are assigned to machines on the basis of real-time information from the resources involved in production and in coordination with intralogistics planning.
What expectations do you have of umati, what do you expect from the partnership?
Thanks to the interface for the exchange of information with driverless transport systems, which was jointly defined by the VDMA and VDA, SYNAOS software solutions can already optimize and control vehicle fleets independently of manufacturers. We are convinced that the umati initiative will make it possible to exchange information with machines and systems just as easily in the future. This will open up completely new possibilities for continuously monitoring production and optimizing the interaction with intralogistics.
What advantages does umati offer your company and your customers?
The umati initiative gives us access to an international network of experts who are working on a uniform interface for connecting machines and thus a central pillar for the factory of the future. Thanks to this uniform interface, machines and systems can be integrated quickly and safely into SYNAOS software solutions and information can be exchanged with them. In combination with our AI algorithms, we can thus revolutionize the way our customers move things and produce goods.
