What expectations do you have of umati, what do you expect from the partnership?
We at Xetics GmbH are very pleased to be able to promote standardization in the field of vertical integration by participating in the umati network. We hope that the umati certified implementations will enable our customers to connect their machines quickly and standardized to our Smart Factory solutions. This eliminates the individual effort of having to do this for each machine type and vendor. The standardized connection creates decisive advantages in terms of connectivity and service, and the connection can be implemented quickly and cost-efficiently overall.
What advantages does umati offer your company and your customers?
umati primarily supports our customers by offering the possibility of a standardized connection of their machines via a simplified and worldwide standard using OPC UA. In the umati network, we find partners for all relevant issues and can present ourselves as partners and solution providers.
How do you evaluate the expansion of the umati initiative to the entire mechanical engineering industry?
The ability to address integration issues and increases the acceptance of the initiative.
