Against the planned PFAS ban in the EU
The broad PFAS ban currently planned by the EU would set many industrial production processes back to the development level of 1950, VDMA says. The quality of basic services for everyone would be jeopardized in many ways.
The mechanical engineering industry is therefore calling for a different, strictly risk-based approach to regulation and has set up a comprehensive information page on this important topic. Find it here.
Since the end of March 2023, the European Chemicals Agency (ECHA) has been running a public consultation on the PFAS restriction. All stakeholders should participate in this and make their concern clear. Companies should explain where they are specifically affected and name which fields of application would no longer function under the PFAS restriction. This link will take you directly to the consultation and you can submit your feedback.
