Carbon Management 2035 study released

The future study "Carbon Management 2035" by the VDMA Competence Center Future Business (find it here) is also exciting from a Power-toX perspective. P2X technologies are perfectly suited to making sensible use of CO2 that is virtually unavoidable (CCU), for example for climate-neutral eFuels. Green hydrogen is produced from renewable energy and water and then enriched with CO2. More about eFuels here.
The study, carried out with the support of Fraunhofer ISI, recommends increased support for innovation and research, the creation of a supportive political framework and raising public awareness in order to achieve climate targets - all of which will also boost the hydrogen economy. But it will not work without increased awareness of environmentally friendly action and strong social support. From the perspective of the mechanical and plant engineering industry, a holistic strategy is required to effectively tackle climate change: a favorable political framework, the use and development of key technologies, the sustainable expansion of the energy and supply infrastructure and the training of qualified specialists.
