Powerful electrolysers are needed to produce green hydrogen. The H2Giga lead project, including the eModule subproject, is intended to help bring them into series production.

The eModule subproject of H2 Giga, in which VDMA Power-to-X for Applications is involved, is specifically concerned with the modeling, automation, integration and optimization of electrolysis modules. The project started about one and a half years ago. At an overall project meeting at the beginning of May, there was a comprehensive exchange of information. On day one, the focus was on status updates on the work in the individual work packages, on publications, the exchange with the project management organization Jülich on the further procedure, the processing of the feedback from the transfer meeting with the H2Giga community, and other current topics. On day two, the group dedicated itself to working on content in a workshop. The topics included aggregating MTP (Module Type Package), aggregating services and integrating process control strategies, concepts for controlling a multiple of modules on a gigawatt scale, and transferring control from individual modules to the GW scale.

The next face-to-face meeting is expected to take place in 2 months.
