Hydrogen train sets world record

The Guinness Book of World Records is now one impressing entry richer: a hydrogen powered train in Colorado/USA has travelled a distance of 2,803 kilometers. And it did so without stopping or refueling, in one long go. This may seem ab bit irrelevant for countries such as Switzerland with its almost completely electrified rail network or Germany with, after all, some 60 percent of its rail network electrified. But there are many countries in the world with a very large surface area where widespread electrification of railway lines is hardly an option. This is where hydrogen and its derivatives can step in and provide CO2 free mobility.
